MRS. MARTHA RAMSAY. Fairfield, Aug. 9th -- A telegram was received this morning announcing the death of Mrs. Martha E. RAMSAY which occurred last evening at the home of her son, E. G. RAMSEY, in Clayton, Mich.. Mrs. RAMSAY was well known in this city where she resided for a number of years. She was the widow of Mungo RAMSAY, one of the early settlers of Fairfield. Mrs. RAMSAY was a sister of County Treasurer J.F.L. BLACK, who left her bedside only yesterday morning and arrived home this morning a short time before the message announcing her death was handed him. Samuel COCKLEY and Mrs. W.W. LEWIS of this city are relatives. Mrs. RAMSAY was 72 years of age and had been ill about six weeks. The funeral will be held Thursday and interment in Hudson, Mich..
