MRS. SIDDIE RICHARDS THUMMEL, daughter of Major A. R. PIERCE, formerly of Fairfield and Waterloo, died at her home in Mt. Vernon, N.Y....

Mrs. Thummel was born in Belfast, Maine, and moved to Iowa when quite young. As Siddie Pierce she married Julian [Julien?] W. Richards in 1879. Following the death of Mr. RICHARDS, she married Warren THUMMEL.

She was [a] prominent member of DAR. The GAR Post at Lockridge was named for her father. She was a member of the Mayflower Descendants Society.

The funeral rites were held at their Eastern home where she was laid to rest yesterday.
