The death of Mrs. Eliza Jane EASTON occurred at her home in this city, October 27th, 1887, at 8 o'clock p.m., of lung disease and heart trouble, aged 59 years 6 months and 17 days. Mrs. EASTON was born in Belleville, Pa. In 1854 she removed to Fairfield with her husband, Emory E. EASTON. Eight children were born to them, three of whom reached manhood and womanhood. Only two are now living. Mr. EASTON's death occurred in 1864. Mrs. EASTON has been a member of the Lutheran Church since 1865. She was a woman of most estimable character, devoted to her family and her friends. As a neighbor she was kind and considerate, and willing always to do her full share in benevolent and charitable work as her means allowed.-- A good woman has gone from amongst us, and relatives and friends mourn for her.

Page 2, Column 4DIED.--At her residence in this city, Thursday, Oct. 27th, of lung disease, Mrs. Eliza J. EASTON, aged 59 years, 6 months and 11 days.
Mrs. EASTON was bornin Blair county, Penna., and came to this city with her husband, Emry EASTON, in 1854; she resided here until her death, with the exception of a short time in Pennsylvania, after the death of her husband. She leaves two children, one son and one daughter. These with three little grandchildren are left to mourn her loss. She was a devoted mother, a kind and faithful friend and neighbor. Patient under great trials, she has gone to receive the reward of the faithful and hear her Redeemer say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." Her last words were: "Rest, to sigh no more."

However, Evergreen's records do not show her being buried on their grounds. She is noted as being buried in neighboring Old Fairfield City Cemetery, with no gravestone, where husband Emery is also buried with no gravestone.
