Walter CRANDALL died Saturday night. Aged 42. Passed away at his home west of the city. Born in Iowa Oct. 27, 1879. Survived by wife....

WALTER CRANDALL DIED SAT. NIGHT

Walter CRANDALL, aged 42, passed away Saturday evening at his home west of the city.

Mr. CRANDALL was born in Iowa, October 27, 1879. He is survived by his wife. Funeral services were held this afternoon at three o'clock from his home. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery (sic - Old Fairfield City Cemetery).

Note: Walter married, on September 21, 1915, in Jefferson County, IA, Elizabeth Ann LANKFORD STINESPRING. She remarried on November 15, 1921, to James Frederick HARPER. In addition, Walter's gravestone was mistakenly engraved with the years of 1877-1919; he is buried in Old Fairfield City Cemetery in Lot 122, not Evergreen Cemetery - these are neighboring cemeteries with no fence between them and were occasionally mistaken for one another or considered as one.
