DIED -- On the 23d of July, 1857, at his residence in Fairfield, Iowa, Mr. Joseph JUNKIN, Sr., aged 68 years, 7 months and 3 days....

Mr. JUNKIN was one of fourteen children and the eldest of eight living, among whom are the Rev. Dr. Geo. JUNKIN, Pres't of Washington College, Lexington, Va., and David X. JUNKIN, of Hollidaysburg, Pa.... He has finished his course, he has kept the faith.... S.C.M.
