Death of John W. BLOSS.

John Wesley BLOSS was attacked with pneumonia about a week ago and died last night at 12:03 at the home of his brother-in-law, Daniel YOUNG, aged 43 years 11 months and 28 days. Mr. BLOSS was born December 27, 1844, in Preble county, Ohio, and removed with his parents in 1861 to Des Moines county, Iowa, and in 1864 removed to this city. He was married to Miss Mary ROWLAND, who died in 1884. One child was born to them--a son, now six years of age. Mr. BLOSS' father died in 1879, but his mother is yet living, although in very feeble health. He was the youngest of 11 children, and his is the first death among them. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, and had effected life insurance in that organization to the amount of $2,000 in favor of his son. He was always kind and considerate towards his aged mother, upon whom the news of his death has fallen with a crushing blow. The funeral will take place from Mr. YOUNG's residence tomorrow, Saturday, at 2 p.m. The friends are invited.
