DIED. ECKERT -- In Fairfield, Iowa, on Thursday night, August 11th, 1879, at half-past ten o'clock, David Elliott ECKERT.... The deceased was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, June 19th, 1830, and was one of a family of nine children who lived to adult life, only three of whom now remain, two brothers living in Fairfield and one sister, Mrs. TAYLOR, residing at Wheeling, W.Va.. He came to Fairfield in the fall of 1851, and was for some years in the firm of Hamilton and ECKERT, engaged in the land and land warrant business. He was married to Miss Eliza POPE, in Fairfield, Sept. 23, 1852. The widow survives him; they had no children.
