"Fairfield Ledger", Dec. 15, 1881, Pg. 3, Col. 9

DEATH OF AN AGED WOMAN. Monday morning, in this city, occurred the death of a very aged lady, Miss Elizabeth EALER, whose years, perhaps, exceeded those of any woman in Jefferson County. Miss EALER was a maiden aunt of Mrs. Bernhart HENN, and made her home with Mrs. HENN both during her residence at Sioux City and in Fairfield.

Miss EALER was born in Little York, Pa., and would have been ninety-nine years of age on the 22d of February next. At an early age she removed to Baltimore, Md., where she grew up to womanhood and moved in the best circles of society. She well remembered the visits of the Bonapartes to that city, and the Bonaparte-Patterson wedding, one of the great events of social life in Baltimore. Deceased had enjoyed good health until perhaps ten years ago when she was stricken with paralysis, and has since been an invalid....

Her remains were interred in the cemetery near this city yesterday, where one of her sisters, Mrs. VEITZ, was buried some years ago.
