Monday C.W. SLAGLE received a telegram announcing the death, the evening previous, of Mr. Amos SEWARD, at Guilford, Conn., in the 95th year of his age. Mr. SEWARD was the father of Mrs. C.W. SLAGLE and Mrs. Fannie BAYLESS, and visited Iowa only once, in 1854.
