(continuing from the "Fairfield Ledger", Jan. 9, 1884, Pg. 3, Col. 7)

....A few years after the death of his first wife, Prudence TEMPLETON, he married Mrs. Mary J. HUSTED, who survives him. Mr. SHAMP was the father of 21 children, ten of whom are now living, all but two or three in this county. Mr. SHAMP, although so far advanced in years, was remarkably strong and active until a short time ago.... Among his older children were Thomas B. and C. T. SHAMP, both of whom were well known in this county.....
