TUESDAY SERVICES FOR MRS. McDOWELL. Mrs. Iowa McDOWELL, 94, died Sunday (Apr. 27) at 5:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital after suffering a stroke earlier in the day. Mrs. McDOWELL made her home at 206½ E. Adams St. for the past 11 years. Last rites will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Hoskins Funeral Home in charge of Dr. C. R. Douglas. Cremation is planned with the ashes to be interred in Evergreen Cemetery.

The former Iowa HAMPSON, Mrs. McDOWELL was born near Fairfield April 21, 1864. She was married to John P. McDOWELL June 9, 1908. Mrs. McDOWELL was employed in Washington, D.C., for many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. McDOWELL's husband preceded her in death. There are no survivors.
