FRANCIS HECK PASSED AWAY

Died At the Home of Niece in Omaha, Formerly Resided North of Fairfield

Francis Sinclair HECK, who a number of years ago resided on a farm north of Fairfield, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. P. W. MURPHY in Omaha, Neb., Sunday, Oct. 9, according to word just received here by friends. The remains were brought to Long Pine, Neb. for burial, Oct. 11, being accompanied by Mrs. Thomas HECK and P. W. MURPHY.

Mr. HECK was born in Chambersburg, Pa., March 9, 1853 and when a young man he moved to Fairfield, Iowa, where he made his home for several years. In early life he was married to Miss Eva LONG of this place, who died a number of years ago, as did also a son and a daughter.

Mr. HECK went to Long Pine, Neb. about 25 years ago and worked for the Northwestern railroad company. He homesteaded south of Long Pine under the Kincaid act. Later he engaged in business in Springview, Neb., for several years and then made Ainsworth his home for a time. For the past 5 years he has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. MURPHY at Omaha.
