Death of Mrs. HECK.

The many friends of Frank S. HECK in this city will be pained to learn of the death of his wife, Mrs. Eva HECK, which occured at their home, north of this city, Sunday evening about 10 o'clock. Deceased was reared in this county. Her maiden name was Eva LONG and she was married to Mr. HECK three or four years ago, and they have since made their home in Blackhawk township. She was about twenty-two years of age, and was highly esteemed by her friends and neighbors. By her death two little children, one a boy of two years, the other a baby girl scarcely a week old, are left motherless. The funeral occurred yesterday at 11 a.m., the remains being interred in this city, Rev. F. W. Evans officiating.

DIED.--In Blackhawk township. July 24 1881, Mrs. Frank HECK, aged 22 years. A deep gloom has been thrown over our entire community by the sudden death of this young wife and mother. Her parents were telegraphed for but only reached here to find her cold in death. It is beyond our power to describe the deep anguish that filled that fond father and mother's heart as they looked upon the still, sweet face, of their only daughter. Oh! the deep sadness and heartache this crushing affliction brings to the young husband whose heart and home are left so desolate.

Unwelcome death, how couldst thou come
With thy unkind, unfeeling blast.
And wilt her prospects in their bloom
And all her dearest hopes o'ercast?

Why couldst thou not have taken one
Who had no tie to bind them here;
Who's gayest joys were in the want,
By sad misfortune, dark and drear?

But say, what cause have we to mourn,
Since her blest spirit is at rest
Where sorrow, care and grief no more
Can touch with pain her peaceful breast?
