DEATHS
Mrs. Martha A. LittonMrs. Martha A. Litton, 90, of Lockridge, died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday at the Fairfield Convalescent Home.
She was born February 1, 1878, the daughter of Marcus K. and Rachel Ann White Smith. She was a lifetime resident of the Round Prairie community.
On October 25, 1899, she was married to Thomas Litton in Jefferson county.
Mrs. Litton was a member of the Round Prairie Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Macil) Huff of R.F.D. Lockridge; one sister, Mrs. Iantha Metcalf of Lockridge; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, five sisters, Mary Eleanor Tilford, Emmeline Chezum, Josephine Garretson, Arminta Lawrence and Lucy Watkins; three brothers, Frank, Charlie and George Smith, and two infant brothers.
Services will be held Monday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at the Round Prairie Baptist Church. Rev. Floyd A. Bratcher will officiate.
Interment will be in the Glasgow Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant as they desire after 6 p.m. Saturday.
