Born in Guernsey County, Ohio, Feb. 22, 1822, and came to this county in 1846; married Mary A. CUMMINGS, who survives him, Nov. 2, 1848. Six children, four now living -- Flora and J.C. in this city, Mrs. W. C. GODFREY of Taunton, Mass., and Frank. Was in Colorado when the government called for troops to suppress the rebellion, and enlisted as a private in Co. C, Second Colorado Cavalry... First Baptist Church.
