Isaac HOFFMAN died in Athens, Alabama, Dec. 3. Information as to the burial has not yet been received here. Was a member of Co. F, 3d Iowa Cavalry, was 69 years old; a number of years ago left the city, first moving to California and later to Alabama. He made his home with a married daughter.

Isaac HOFFMAN, who died at Athens, Ala., was bugler of Co. E, Third Iowa Cavalry. The "Journal" has been informed that during the Civil War at the capture of Little Rock, Ark., he took the rebel flag off of the State House, and in place put the Union flag. B. F. CRAIL, Sr., was captain of this company.
