Mrs. George W. BALL died at her home north of this city this morning about eleven o'clock after an illness extending over a period of several months. She has been in frail health for the past five years but it was only recently that relatives began to fear the parting.
Mrs. BALL was about 62 years of age and was born near Brookville, December 7, 1850. She was the daughter of Harvey and Mary LAUGHLIN who were early settlers in the county. On October 31st, 1872, she was united in marriage to George W. BALL and with her husband has shared the honors that were bestowed upon him by Jefferson county people in twice sending him the State legislature. Since 1896 they have lived at their present north of the city.
Mrs. BALL was the mother of six children, one of whom, Harvey, died in 1883. Four sons, Charles F. Joseph L., Harry I. and William N. and one daughter Mrs. Day HUNT, all of this city, together with their father survive.
Mrs. BALL was a faithful member of the First Baptist church at Brookville, and later became a member of the First Christian church of this city and was a woman greatly beloved by all who knew her. She was deeply attached to her home and her family, and yet found time to be a good neighbor and a kind friend to all who knew her.
The funeral services will be held at the home at ten o'clock Friday morning.

Mrs. Geo. W. BALL.
Mrs. Geo. W. BALL died at her home near this city July 17, 1912, after several months of suffering.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. P. LAUGHLIN, pioneer residents of Jefferson county.
Mrs. BALL was born December 7th, 1850, and grew to young womanhood in the county of her birth. She was married October 31, 1872, to Geo. W. BALL and was the mother of six children, five of whom survive to mourn the loss of a good, kind, and thoughtful mother.
The children are: Charles F.; Joe L.; Harry I.; William N.; and Mrs. R. D. HUNT, all of this city.
The husband also survives to miss the companionship of a true and loving wife.
Mrs. BALL lived a consistent Christian life, performing her duties toward God and man in a Christ-like manner. She was a faithful member of the Christian church of this city.
Funeral services were held from the home on July 19th, conducted by Rev. J. A. Longston, assisted by Rev. S. B. Ross. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery.
