Page 2, Column 4LIBERTYVILLE -- Another old settler has passed away. Alexander WILSON of Des Moines township, aged eighty-six years and ten days, died at his home Saturday morning, June 10th. Funeral services were conducted at his late residence by President Jenkins of Parsons College, and the remains were interred in the Fell Cemetery.
Mr. WILSON came to the state in 1838. He was widely and favorably known. The large attendance at his burial indicates the high esteem in which he was held. He had been for years an honored member of the Presbyterian Church of Libertyville.

Page 7, Column 4DEATH OF ALEXANDER WILSON, one of the earliest settlers of the county, at his home a few miles south of Libertyville, last Saturday morning at 7:30 o'clock. Was 86 years old and had been a resident of Jefferson County since 1838, coming from Penn. and locating in Des Moines township. The farm on which he died had been in his possession all the years of his residence here.
He leaves a wife and one son..... Fell Cemetery. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in Des Moines Township.
