Marion Hughell, born near Batavia May 18 1855, died February 27 1936...His parents, Samuel and Mary (Lewis) Hughell, came from sounthern Indiana to this part of Iowa, the Black Hawk Purchase, as young people in 1840...In 1877 (5 April) he married Martha Olive Fancher who died within one year; married, 2nd, December 24 1891, Susan L. Kidy who died May 1 1917. To this union two children, Mary B. (Mrs. Carl J. Kulsrud, Washington, D.C.) and John G. Hughell of Batavia...
