John Johnson TURNER, born in Gollenburg, Granna County, Sweden, Feb. 15, 1850, and died at his home in Libertyville Mon., Mar. 12, age 78. Came to U.S. in 1869 and settled in Jefferson County, Iowa, near Packwood; married Miss Clara L. LARSON June 6, 1883, in the Swedish M.E. Church at Four Corners; three daughters and one son, Mrs. E.A. (Bertha) STUMP of Fairfield; Mrs. Ellen CHEDEL of Breen, Colo., who preceded her father in death; Mrs. E.C. (Mabel) CARL of Ottumwa, and George Elmer TURNER of Douds; also survived by his wife, 12 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Fell Cemetery.
