DEATH OF DANIEL TROUT July 26 -- Born in Erie County, Penn., Jan. 1, 1828; emigrated to this state and reached Jefferson County Oct. 24, 1854. Nov. 27, 1855, married Martha LAUGHLIN. Blacksmith. Sold his shop Jan., 1860, and removed to Wayne County. May, 1865, returned to this place and purchased the farm where he resided at the time of his death.

Ella, his only child, was born Jan. 18, 1861. .... He was one of those early pioneers that bravely met the privations incident to a newly settled country and contributed to the growth and prosperity of this portion of Iowa. Grandchildren. Fell Cemetery.
