PACKWOOD -- Ernest A. TEETER, 76, well known resident of the Packwood community, died Sun. P.M. in Jefferson County Hospital. Raymond Funeral Home. Memorial Lawn Cemetery (in Fairfield).

Born July 6, 1893, in Jefferson County south of Batavia, son of George E. and Fannie STEELE TEETER; reared and educated in the Batavia community. Retired from farming two years ago. He attended the Methodist church and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Married in Ottumwa, July 5, 1922, Helen CLARK, who survives; also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Junior IRELAND, Libertyville, and Mrs. Joan TEDROW, Fairfield; two sons, Elmer, R2, Fairfield, and Bernard, Beatrice, Neb.; seven grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Irene KNOPP, Burlington; Mrs. Homer WHEELDON, Batavia, and Mrs. Chester CURTIS, also of Batavia. Preceded in death by three brothers.
