BATAVIA - Death came Saturday evening to Mrs. Ollie TEETER, 96, longtime resident of Batavia. She died at 6:40 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had beena patient for one day following.
Last rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. John Nye in charge. Burial will be in the Fell Cemetery at Libertyville.
Ollie TEETER was born March 6, 1872, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah MILES STEELE. She spent her entire life in Jefferson County, and had lived in Batavia since 1946.
She was married to George B. TEETER on June 8, 1892. He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1941. She was also preceded in death by two infant sons, and another son, Bernard, in 1965.
Survivors include one son, Ernest TEETER, Packwood; three daughters, Mrs. Irene KNOPP, Burlington; Mrs. Rebecca WHEELDON, Batavia; and Mrs. Josephine CURTIS, also of Batavia.
Others include 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Cora CARLSON, Osceola.
