LIBERTYVILLE. Mrs. Flora Janet PORTER, 86, Libertyville, died at 5 a.m. today at the Fairfield Convalescent Home... Burial will be in Fell Cemetery. Raymond Funeral Home.

Born Sept. 30, 1881 (sic - 1882), in Farmington, Ill., daughter of William and Amey ROLFE ABBOTT. She was reared and educated at Farmington and attended Central College at Pella. For a number of years she taught school in the Hedrick, Farson and Martinsburg communities. She married Frederick L. PORTER at Stanwood on Nov. 16, 1910. They moved to a farm near Libertyville in 1921 and following retirement moved to Libertyville in 1946. Member Libertyville Methodist Church and WSCS.

Survivors include one son, William, R.3, Fairfield; one daughter, Mrs. Amey GLOTFELTY, five greatgrandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ed THOMSON, Oskaloosa; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, two grandchildren, two brothers and a sister.
