John W. MANNING

J.E. MANNING, who lives one mile east of Batavia, received a message yesterday, April 27, telling of the death of a brother.

John W. MANNING (sic. John Wesley MANNING) was born (sic. 1867) and raised in Jefferson county in the Des Moines township area. Mr. MANNING was 72 years of age. He is survived by his wife, who was the former Ollie SIMMONS, and several children. Beside J. E. MANNING (sic. Joseph Elmer MANNING) there are three other brothers and sisters living. His parents and three brothers have preceded him in death. The older residents especially in the Libertyville area will remember him. His late home was Eugene, Oregon where burial will be made.
