LIBERTYVILLE. Abe MADDIX, 74, died at his home two miles s.e. of Libertyville at 8:30 a.m. today.

Born in Jefferson County May 30, 1879, son of Joseph and Mary RODIBAUGH MADDIX, and spent all his life in this community. Married Mary WATKINS Apr. 12, 1903, and the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April. They lived on the same farm all their married life. Member Libertyville Methodist church and K.P. Lodge.

Survived by wife and son, Aaron of Libertyville, 5 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death in 1938.
