Roscoe W. McCLEARY, 72, 205 N. Fifth St., a lifetime resident of this county, died today at Jefferson Co. Hospital. Behner Funeral Home. Military rites and burial will be held in Fell Cemetery, Libertyville.

Born Dec. 29, 1896, at Batavia, son of Ephraim and Ella TURNBULL McCLEARY. Served in U.S. Navy during WWI. Married Audrey GRIMES July 25, 1920. Employed at Louden Machinery Co. for more than 25 years. Member Methodist Church, American Legion, VFW and the Eagles Lodge (sic - Aerie/Club).

Surviving are widow and one daughter, Mrs. Harold COCHRAN, Ames; two grandchildren and one brother, Wendell McCLEARY, Waterloo. Two sisters and one brother are deceased.
