Mrs. Manervia (sic) A. LAWSON, widow of Carter LAWSON, died yesterday at her home 7 mi. s.w. of Fairfield. Spent entire life in Jefferson Co. Would have been 85 on Oct. 24, 1932. Husband died 4 years ago in April.

Survived by two sons, Clyde and William in the same neighborhood, and 3 grandchildren. Burial at Birmingham.

Obit. Mrs. Minerva A. LAWSON, daughter of Ralph R. & Mrs. Elizabeth PARKER MILLS, born 3 mi. south of Fairfield, Iowa, Oct. 24, 1847, died at her home seven miles south of Fairfield July 14, 1932, aged 84-8-20. Married Carter LAWSON Dec. 18, 1873, 4 children, a son Bertie and a daughter Lydia dying in infancy.

Two sons, W. S. LAWSON and J. C. LAWSON, 3 grandsons, Vernon C., Ralph C. and Robert E. LAWSON; two greatgrandsons, Richard LaVerne and Everett Eugene LAWSON, survive. Preceded in death by husband and seven brothers and sisters. One sister, Mrs. Sarah NEVENS of Winterset, Iowa, is the only surviving member of a family of nine children. M.E. - M.P. Church. Taught in country schools a few years before her marriage.... Burial Birmingham Cemetery.
