Sylvia Belle EYESTONE was born in Martinsburg, Iowa, April 27, 1893, and passed away at her home in Campbell, Minnesota, on January 1, 1919. Her age was 25 years, 7 months and 4 days. Most of her life was spent in the Mt. Zion neighborhood. Here she gave her heart to God and united with the Methodist Epicopal (sic. Episcopal) church. She dearly loved her Master and served him to the best of her ability. She possessed a sweet Christina character; never complained, always cheerful and happy. At the death of her mother she was only sixteen years old and assumed full responsibility of the home.

She was married on the 28th of November 1917, to Ernest E. KENNEL. Just two days before her death she gave birth to a son, whom the Master also called, and who will be buried in his mother's arms.

To the loved ones at her bedside, the last hour of her life was full of comfort and strength. She fully realized that the end was coming and rejoiced in the full assurance that Christ was with her. She made all the arrangements for the burial and gave words of comfort and encouragement to her husband and father.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest E. KENNEL; father, Theodore EYESTONE, three brothers: Zane and Floyd, of Fairfield, Iowa, and two (sic. the rest of the paragraph is missing from the original publication. Extrapolated from other obituaries, the other brother was Fred of Minnesota, and two sisters, Mrs. Purl ARMSTRONG and Mrs. Velma BARTHOLOW of Libertyville.)
