Luther HESTON Taken In Death

Luther HESTON, 85, 601 E. Adams, died Thursday at 2:15 p.m. at the University Hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA). He had been seriously ill since undergoing surery five days ago.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned Gillum in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

HESTON was a retired employee of the Louden Machinery Co. and Iowa Electric Light and Power Co. A lifetime resident of this community, he was born Aug. 20, 1885, son of Mahlon and Harriett STILES HESTON. He was married March 1, 1911 to Edna Mae SIRDOREUS. She died March 1, 1968.

HESTON is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice M. WEBBER, Iowa City; and Mrs. Vera F. DAVIS, Fairfield. Two grandchildren also survive. Three brothers are deceased.
