Comrade A. G. HAGUE died at the Mt. Pleasant Hospital Wednesday. He had been poorly for about a year and about six months ago he was taken to the Mt. Pleasant insane hospital, but his ailments were on account of age and therefore, incurable. His remains were taken to Libertyville Wednesday night, where funeral services were held, and then brought to this city for burial.

Editors Ledger:--J. E. HAGUE, Seward, Neb., and L. W. HAGUE, Linden, Neb., were present at the funeral of their father, A. G. HAGUE. ... Mr. and Mrs. SMILEY, Winfield, attended the funeral of A. G. HAGUE; Mr. SMILEY is a brother of Mrs. HAGUE.

J. E. HAGUE, of Seward, Neb., and L. W. HAGUE, of Linden, Neb., were present at the funeral of their father, A. G. HAGUE. ...

Albert Gallatin HAGUE was born near Uniontown, Fayette County, Pa., July 23, 1829. Died April 2, 1902, aged 72 years 8 months and 9 days. He grew to manhood near the place of his birth.

At the age of 22 he made a profession of religion and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church of New Salem, Fayette County, Pa.

He was twice married. In 1852 he was united in marriage to Martha ANTRIM of New Salem, Pa., who died December 9, 1860. Two children of this marriage survive: L. W. HAGUE, Linden, Neb., and Bell DEARTH, Grand Ridge, Ill.

In September, 1862, he enlisted in the 14th Pennsylvania Cavalry, Co. E, and served for three years, or until the end of the war.

He was united in marriage to Harriet A. SMILEY March 24, 1863, at Smithfield, Fayette County, Pa., while home on a furlough from the army. To them were born eight children, five of whom with their mother survive to mourn their loss: James E., Albert S., Clarence P., Vernon L., and Anna Grace.

At the close of the war he lived with his family at Fairchance, Fayette County, Pa., until 1869, when they came to Iowa and settled near the present home.

Mr. HAGUE was a loving and affectionate husband, a good and indulgent father, a true friend and an honorable citizen.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, in Lot 2nd.035, with second wife Harriet. While his obituary notes he was born on the 23rd, his gravestone notes his birth was on the 25th.
