Nelson GLOTFELTY died at his home near Birmingham the 30th from lockjaw.

Born Jan. 7, 1842, in Somerset Co., Penn., and came to Iowa with his parents at the age of 7 years. The family resided for a time in Van Buren County and then removed to the southwestern portion of this county, where several members of it still reside.

Mr. G. was twice married, to Miss Mary MANNING who died in 1866, and to Mrs. Amanda DARST who survives. One daughter by his first marriage and three daughters and a son by the second marriage are also living. Deceased was a brave soldier and a most excellent citizen....
