Page 8, Column 5Frank A. DUSTIN, lifetime resident of Jefferson county and a former president of the Libertyville Savings bank, died at 10 a.m. today at Jefferson County hospital.
He had been in failing health the past three weeks and seriously ill the past nine days.
Last rites will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Elton Coleman in charge. Burial will be in the Fell cemetery near Libertyville.
DUSTIN had served for 25 years as an inheritance tax appraiser for the county, had served as president of the Libertyville Savings bank for a number of years, and was serving as vice president of the bank at the time of his death.
Frank A. DUSTIN, 90, was born Jan. 11, 1872, on a farm in Jefferson county northeast of Libertyville. He was the son of William and Mary PEEBLER DUSTIN. He was reared and educated in the Libertyville community.
On March 18, 1903, he was united in marriage to Sadie CARMICHAEL who passed away in 1926. On June 25, 1930, he was married to Velma EYESTONE BARTHOLOW. The wedding took place at Ottumwa. He was a member of the Methodist church and spent his entire life in this county.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three step-children: Mrs. Bernice FRESCOLN, Batavia; Mrs. Florence EASTON, Fairfield; and Oral BARTHOLOW, Iowa City. Other survivors include eight step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
The family home is one mile southwest of Fairfield.
