At Jefferson County Hospital Following A Stroke Of ApoplexyFrank R. JACOBS, who resided on a farm 5 miles northeast of the city and who has spent practically all his life in this county, passed away last evening at 8:10 oclock at the Jefferson County hospital, where he has been since March 27, having suffered a stroke of apoplexy two weeks before that.
The final rites will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. H. E. Butler. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. JACOBS was born Feb. 27, 1863 on a farm near New Sweden. With the exception of a few years spent in Galesburg, Ill., his entire life has been spent in this community. He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Anna LINDAHL, and the following children: Mrs. L. H. LINN of Lockridge, Mrs. Harley BATES, Mrs. Ray STONER and Mrs. Carl C. DIEHL of near Fairfield, Mrs. George ANDERSON of Abingdon, Ill., and Miss Effie JACOBS of Chicago. He also leaves two sisters: Mrs. Frank JACOBSON of Ottumwa, Mrs. Charles MOBURG of this city and one brother ,Henry JACOBS, 10 miles north east of the city.

Jacobs Funeral
The funeral of [F]rank JACOBS, aged 65 years, was held Sunday afternoon from the Hoskins chapel and burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. The Rev. H.E. Butler conducted the service. Mr. JACOBS is survived by his wife and six daughters, Mrs. L.H. LINN, Lockridge, Mrs. Ray STONER, Mrs. Harley BATES, Mrs. Carl DIEHL, Fairfield; Mrs. George ANDERSON, Abingdon, Ill.; and Miss Effie JACOBS, Chicago.

Frank Regord JACOBS son of John and Anna JACOBS was born February 27, 1863 in New Sweden and passed away April 20, 1928 at the Jefferson county hospital. He was 65 years, 1 month and 23 days old.
August 21, 1888, he was united in marriage with Miss Anna LINDAHL and to this union one son and six daughters were born, Roy dying in infancy. His wife Mrs. JACOBS survive to mourn his departure. Six children survive their father. Mrs. Leroy LINNS (sic) of Lockridge Ia., Mrs. Harley BATES, Mrs. Ray STONER, Mrs. Carl DIEHL of Fairfield. Mrs. George ANDERSON of Abingdon and Miss Effie JACOBS of Chicago. Four brothers preceded him in death and two sisters Mrs. C. P. MOBERG (sic) of Fairfield and Mrs. Frank JACOBSON of Ottumwa and one brother Henry JACOBS of Fairfield survive, him also ten grandchildren.
The early part of Mr. JACOBS's life was spent in New Sweden and ten years he resided in Galesburg, Ill. Returning to Jefferson county he spent the rest of his life here and at the time of his death resided about 4 miles Northeeast of Fairfield on a farm.
He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Harvey E. Butler at the Hoskins Funeral Home Sunday at 2 P. M.
Burial was made in the Evergren (sic) cemetery.
