William A. CARTER, one of the older and well known residents of Libertyville, died yesterday afternoon.... Funeral services tomorrow morning at 10:30 from the Methodist church, and burial will take place in the Fell cemetery near Libertyville....

Mr. CARTER was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel CARTER and was born south of Libertyville Jan. 1, 1846, being 77-1-20 at death. Married Miss Mary Ann CARSON of Birmingham and she died eleven years ago. Since that time his daughter, Miss Clara B. CARTER, has kept the home for him.

Besides this daughter he leaves two sons, Harley CARTER of this city and Emery W. CARTER of 3½ miles s.e. of Libertyville. He also leaves one brother, Thomas W. CARTER of south of Libertyville. Mr. CARTER was a member of Co. F, 3d Iowa Vol. Cavalry. Practically all his life has been spent in or near Libertyville.
