Dies in Minnesota

Mrs. Axel Johnson, a well known Jefferson county resident who left here about eight years ago to make her home near Davidson, Minn., passed away at her home Friday morning according to a message which reached friends and relatives here Saturday.

The remains will be brought to Fairfield arriving Monday morning and will be taken to Lockridge where the funeral will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the Lutheran church. The pastor, Rev. Elmquist will have charge of the last service and the interment will take place in the Lockridge cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson had been seriously ill for sometime and her end was not unexpected. She was 71 years of age and is survived by her husband and nine children who are as follows:

A.F. Johnson and Elmer Johnson, both of Lockridge; Misses Ruth and Irene of Milwaukee, Wis.; Dolly, Mabel, Myrtle, Walter and Ed. all of Davidson, Minn. Mrs. Johnson was well known in the vicinity of Lockridge and had many friends who will mourn her family.

[According to Jefferson County records Mrs. Johnson's maiden name was Augusta Wilhelmina Larson. She was born 3 June 1855 in Jonskoping Sweden.]
