OBITUARY
Miss Nancy Carolina Linderson, who died at her brother's home in Clear Lake, Wis., July 17, was born at Upland, Jefferson County, Iowa, April 11, 1873; she was baptized May 12, 1873, and confirmed May 28, 1890. She was a member of the Lutheran church, Upland, until May 12, 1912, at which time she, together with her parents, transferred membership to the Trinity Lutheran, Lockridge. Most of her time was spent at home with her parents, helping and caring for them until death. Miss Linderson's health had been failing during several years, and the first part of June she went to Clear Lake, Wis. in hopes of improving her health; but her last summons came on July 17. She had reached the age of 55 years, 3 months and 6 days.
The deceased was well acquainted with suffering, which she bore with Christian fortitude. She loved the Word of God and and was a faithful use of the same; she took an active part in the activities of her church. Miss Linderson was of a quiet unassuming disposition.
She leaves to mourn her departure two brothers and one sister, namely, R.A. Linderson, Lockridge, Iowa, Edward Linderson, Clear Lake, Wis., and Mrs. C.A. Johnson, Tokio, Japan and other relatives and many friends.
The funeral services were held July 20, 1:30 p.m. at the R.A. Linderson residence, Lockridge, and 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church, Lockridge. Rev. Anton Linder preached the funeral sermon in the church, using Heb. 13:14 as text. Three funeral hymns were sung by a mixed quartet in the church. Committal services were held in the Lockridge Cemetery.
