J. Vance BLAIR, an old resident of Libertyville; ill health for the past 15 years. (Born Penn.) Came to Iowa about 40 years ago and located in Jefferson County on a farm in Liberty Township. When the war broke out he enlisted in Co. H, Third Iowa Cavalry, and served three years. On his return he went to Pennsylvania, where he was married to Miss Sarah HURST, a sister of Frank HURST of Libertyville. They came back to Iowa and located at Libertyville, which has been their home since then. He leaves his wife alone to mourn.....

Note: Buried in Fell Cemetery near Libertyville with wife Sarah who died in 1905.
