LIBERTYVILLE, May 31. Word was received here of the death of Ira BENNETT of West Plains, Mo. The body will arrive here Monday evening. Funeral services will be held at the M.E. Church Tues. and interment made at the Fell Cemetery. Mr. BENNETT had made his home here for several years, moving to Missouri about four years ago. He leaves two sons and a daughter.....

OBIT. Ira BENNETT was born in Hocking County, Ohio, Mar. 20, 1838. He, with his parents, came to Iowa in 1850 and settled near Batavia. He was married to Margaret E. COLLINS Oct. 31, 1864, at Batavia, Iowa. He resided near Batavia, Jefferson County, for more than 50 years.

About 14 years ago he removed from a farm in Des Moines Township to Libertyville, where he resided until four years ago, when he removed to Missouri, residing in West Plains for two years, then moving to Eldorado Springs, where he resided until his death. M.E. Ch.

Leaves three children, W. W. BENNETT of Libertyville, and W. H. BENNETT of West Plains, Mo., and one daughter, Ida M. BENNETT of Eldorado Springs, Mo. Also two brothers and two sisters. His wife died Sept. 20, 1895. He died at his home in Eldorado Springs, Mo., at 9 o'clock in the morning of May 28th, 1909, after an illness of six weeks, aged 71 years two months and eight days.
