OBIT. Mrs. Ada Catherine APPLEGATE was born in Jefferson County May 25, 1869, and died at her home in Ottumwa Apr. 12. She was a daughter of Jonathan FAMULENER of Libertyville and her remains were taken to the home of her parents and interred in the Fell Cemetery....

Mrs. APPLEGATE spent most of her life in the county of her birth and was loved and respected by a large circle of friends. March 12, 1890, she was married to Geo. APPLEGATE and they located in Ottumwa. She was the mother of four children, two of whom survive her.... Her companion and little daughters feel very deeply their loss.
