Word was received here today of the death of Fred ALLISON, former resident of Fairfield who passed away last night at Veterans Hospital in Chicago. Last rites are pending but it is believed the funeral will be held Saturday in Chicago.

Born May 24, 1893, in Wapello County, son of W.D. and Ella ALLISON. He lived in Fairfield for a number of years and served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. He made his home in Chicago during the past several years. Survived by his wife, Martha, Fairfield; three brothers, John ALLISON, Libertyville; Charles ALLISON, Fairfield; and Ray ALLISON, Kansas City; also one sister, Mrs. Marie HEGG, Elmhurst, Ill.
