BUREKER
Although his illness was known to be of a very serious character, yet the death of Henry BUREKER at Ottumwa last Friday came as a shock to his many friends in this county. Mr. BUREKER, until his illness which began last winter, had apparently been in the best of health.
Mr. BUREKER was about fifty-four years of age and came to this country from Germany when a young man. He lived for a time near Germanville and Pleasant Plain but later moved to Fairfield where he engaged in the stock buying business. He was widely known for his genial manner and made friends everywhere by reason of many acts of kindness and charity.
He was unmarried and died at the home of his sister, Mrs. IMES, in Ottumwa; three sisters and three brothers survive him. Funeral services were held at Pleasant Plain catholic church last Monday and interment made in the church cemetery.
