40 YEARS AGO—1925. JOHN LAMANSKY, 72, died last Friday morning at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa. MR. LAMANSKY had been at the hospital for 24 days, but never became strong enough to undergo the operation which surgeons hoped would restore his health. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Church at East Pleasant Plain and burial was made in the nearby cemetery.
