AN OLD PATRIOT. Mr. D. M. PARRETT of Locust Grove township, Jefferson County, was in Ottumwa Monday. He was on his way home from a visit to his uncle, Mr. Geo. PARRETT of Columbia township, Wapello County, who lives about four miles east of Eddyville.

Geo. PARRETT comes down from almost the revolutionary period. He was over a year old when Washington retired from the presidency.... If he lives until the 22d of next Jan. he will be 90 years old. Born in Cook County, Tenn., Jan. 22, 1796...
