MARRIAGE STATISTICS.....The oldest couple married in the four years were Stephen Williams and Violet Howell, the former being 83 and the latter 61 years of age. They were married Aug 31 1863.

“Jefferson County Records”, by Orville & Mary Prill. Vol. 7, p. 322:

Stephen died Feb 12 1865 aged 85 yr’s & 27 d’s; buried Fiedler Cemetery in Round Prairie Township. A Baptist Minister.
