“Jefferson County Records”, by Orville & Mary Prill; Vol. 7, pages 300-342, p. 324.

He [Young S. Pearson] enlisted 6 May 1861, Co. E, 2 IVI; discharged for disability 21 July 1861.....Later resided at Stansbury, Gentry Co., Mo., where he was Commander of the GAR Post in 1888. He died 6 Aug. 1903.
