MR. and MRS. VINCENT POHREN are among the oldest settlers in Jefferson County, coming to this country from Germany in the early forties. Last Sunday was MRS. POHREN’S 82nd birthday and the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to the number of 45 gathered at the home south of Brighton and spent the day. There were 65 or 70 present, including sons in law and one daughter in law. Children present were MRS. JOHN FRITZ and family, MRS. MIKE FRITZ and family, MRS. CHRIS MINERT and family, MRS. GEO. HOOK and family, and JACOB POHREN and family. Another son, PETER POHREN of Burlington was unable to be present with his family of four children….
