POLISH FAMILY PROVES PATRIOTISM.

Perhaps in few homes in Jefferson County is there a record that can compare with the record of the DZYWAK, better known as the GEVOCK, family, who reside on a farm about two miles southeast of Pleasant Plain. Some years ago MR. and MRS. GEVOCK came to this country from Poland and settled on his farm. Here their children were born. Of these the following are already in the service: TOM, in the Coast Artillery; INUS, who left with selected men, Feb. 25, is now in France; ADAM is in the navy; JOE left Sept. 3 for Des Moines, with the last group of selected men. There is one son, NICK, whose whereabouts is not known. On Sept. 12th there were three sons who registered. This leaves two sons who are not of draft age.
