E. L. DEAN, oldest Batavia man, celebrated his 87th birthday Fri. at his home near here. He was born on E. Burlington St. in Fairfield Feb. 28, 1849, coming to Batavia with his parents when he was one year old. He attended the old log school house in Batavia when the town was known as Creaseville; his first wife, Ella RIGGS, died in 1913 and in 1916 he married Mrs. Ida VORHIES of Fairfield....
