Mrs. Charlie WILSON visits Des Moines

Mrs. Charlie WILSON, 700 W. Washington, was in Des Moines Thurs. to attend last rites for her sister's husband, the Rev. W. A. PURDY. He was a minister for the Batavia Christian Church over 50 years ago. His wife is the former Ona Maude BLACK of Batavia.

He had been retired and also ill for some time in a rest home at Prairie City. His wife died two months and two weeks preceding him. Last rites at Westover Funeral Home with burial in Glendale Cemetery.

While there Mrs. WILSON met the minister who was a former Batavia pastor, Rev. Orvel WALKER of the Christian Church, who sent greetings to area friends.
